Vaun Brown continues to kill it in San Jose winning California League Player of the Week for the second time. He leads the team in just about all offensive categories and a few league highs.

He's very old for low A ball, turning 24 this month (DOB: 06/23/1998), 15 months older than Heliot Ramos (DON 9/7/1999). Because of the pandemic he played 5 years of Division II college ball.
It seems the Giants could (should?) move him up and test him.
...move him up a level, or 2...
DeleteGlad to hear you and your wife had a great trip. While the farm has players off to good starts like Luciano and Kyle Harrison, and slow starts like Bedner and Bishop, it's fast rising under the radar players that a recent Pav's article mentioned that makes me think the system is coming around: David Villar 3rd base-Kap had some nice things to say about him. Mason Black-2nd round pick might become their top RHP prospect if he continues to pitch well. Casey Schmitt 3rd base scouts are very impressed with his D, and he's hitting well in Eugene. Grant McCray and Vaun Brown of, Pat Burrell had nice things to say about McCray in minor league camp.
