A:  San Jose Giants tamed the Fresno Grizzlies 6-5.

Carter Williams DH- 2 for 3, BB, SB(1).  BA= .667.

Eric Silva RHP- 6 IP, 5 H, 4 R, 4 BB, 4 K's.  ERA= 4.78.

Manuel Mercedes RHP- 3 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 3 BB, 3 K's.  ERA= 4.31.

Silva had a 4-run hiccup in the second inning but went on to pitch 4 more shutout innings through 6.  Wouldn't want him pitching like that every start but a game like this every once in awhile builds character.

Patrick Hilson CF- 2 for 4, HR(1), SF.  BA= .240.

Cesar Perdomo LHP- 5 IP, 4 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 7 K's.  ERA= 0.00.

Pomares taking batting practice while waiting for his team, the Emeralds, get back from Canada.  Patrick Hilson has long been considered one of the toolsiest Giants prospects.  This is probably a make-or-break year for him.  Perdomo is a 20 yo from Venezuela.  I do not see any prior pro experience on his resume.
