Four solo HR's by the Pirates, including a walkoff by rookie Jack Suwinski LF, his third of the game, prevented the Giants from sweeping their 3-game weekend series.
The Giants jumped in front in the first inning when Joc Pederson LF delivered a bases loaded single with no outs. The Giants were not able to add on to that until Thairo Estrada 2B's solo HR in the top of the 9'th inning tied the game at 3.
A silver lining was Alex Cobb RHP completing his pitch-limit of 60 coming off the IL while giving up 2 runs on two solo HR's in 4 innings of work.
If you are wondering what the corresponding roster move to activate Cobb was, well, Mauricio Llovera RHP got optioned back to AAA Sacramento.
