A  Augusta Greenjackets swarmed over the Lexington Legends 9-1:

Ismael Munguia DH- 2 for 5, SB(12).  BA= .292.
Simon Whiteman SS- 2 for 4, BB, SB(3).  BA= .320.
Diego Rincones RF- 2 for 5.  BA= .298.
Frankie Tostado 1B- 2 for 4, HR(14), SF.  BA= .256.
Jacob Gonzalez 3B- 2 for 4, HR(7).  BA= .230.
Seth Corry LHP- 5.2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 10 K's.  ERA= 1.85.
Ryan Walker RHP- 2.1 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 3 K's.  ERA= 3.00.
Peter Lannoo RHP- 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K.  ERA= 1.50.

I think we can say definitively that Seth Corry is having a breakout season.  5 of his last 6 Starts have been scoreless including his last 3.  He has managed to dramatically reduce his walk rate over his last 6 starts with just 6 BB's in 33.1 IP with 43 K's.  He leads the SAL in total K's with 129 in 92.1 IP.  Can we call this Bumgarneresque?

  1. Jeff Houghtby had 3 lackluster seasons at USD then blossomed as a senior catching a Giants' scout's eye and getting a 10th round pick.
He's 14-37 (.378) in his last 10 @ S-K mostly playing 2B but has had appearances at all 4 IF positions.
Is he the best 2B Prospect in the system?

    1. wasn't he and Whiteman signed on the cheap so the team could overpay in other slots? and then these two "unheralded" infielders are raking

  2. Wonder if B. Belt was woried about being traded:
