Down on the Farm: 4/10/2016

AAA  Salt Lake City Bees completed a 4 game sweep of the Sacramento River Cats 7-4:

Gorkys Hernandez CF- 2 for 4, BB, Assist.  BA= .273.
Ramiro Pena 2B- 2 for 5, SB(1).  BA= .357.
Mac Williamson DH- 1 for 3, HR(2), BB.  BA= .267.

Big Mac connects for his second dinger of the season.  The rest of this team looked pretty dismal.  We'll see if the pitching gets better at home.

  1. We need Mac in left field ASAP. We probably will need one or two of the young minor league starting pitchers sometime this season, as one or more of the current vet pichers will likely fail. This will continue the process of removing the over the hill vets from last year.

    1. Pagan is doing pretty darn good in LF for the time being. No need to rush Mac.

    2. There may be injuries or poor performance at some point in the rotation, but it's been OK so far. Again, no need to rush anyone.

  2. Pagan looks great so far this year. Let Mac dominate AAA for a year. Hopefully we don't need him this year.

  3. I just saw that the Giants released Brian Ragira. I know he had a lot of strikeouts and repeated high A last year, but it seems like they have held on to players a lot longer that with less upside in the past. Any thoughts on why the release?

    1. I'm not sure Brian Ragira really wants a baseball career.
