  1. Shaw will be a conundrum:
    1. He needs a position
    2. Giants will have to be patient through a couple of years of LOTS of Ks to see if his AAA power translates
Who historically have the Giants had like Shaw that they allowed to develop?
They should bring him up right now to play LF everyday -- they'll be no worse off than they are with 2/3 of the OF bad, stupid, or both.

    1. I don't see why Shaw can't wait until September, since there's already an OF numbers crunch.

In 2019 a 3 headed monster of Shaw/Slater/Williamson might be solid in lf/rf.

  2. Speaking of OFers, anyone anywhere heard anything about Jarrett Parker?
Apparently the Giants had him substantially overrated, he seems to have completely disappeared, no one signed him to nothing.
It wouldn't be too much a surprise if Blanco and Hernandez are also overrated.
Kinda wish Bochy would check Gregor's splits for hitting leadoff. If the reason is, there's no one else, the question becomes why start the game with one out. Is it really better having McCutchen begin the inning with one out? Bat Blanco 8th -- he has great splits batting there.

    1. Overrated? The Giants released Jarrett Parker! How is that overrating him?

Blanco and Hernandez have been two of the Giants better performers in the early season. They likely will not keep up this pace for an entire season and I am quite sure the Giants realize that.

I do not understand why Bochy took a guy who went 2 for 4 with a double from the leadoff spot and flipped him in the order with a guy who has historically hit poorly in the leadoff spot.
