Fantasy Focus: 2016 Outfielder Rankings

Because the category is so big, I'm just going to list the top 30 qualified OF's by OPS.  I may do some breakout and sleeper lists later on.

1.  Mike Trout, Angels- .991.  29 HR, 30 SB.  Closest to a 30/30 player out there.  A true 5 category stud!

2.  Kris Bryant, Cubs- .939.

3.  Charlie Blackmon, Rockies- .933.  Any Rockies starting position player is a good fantasy baseball bet.

4.  Nelson Cruz, Mariners- .915.  43 dingers!

5. JD Martinez, Tigers- .908.  Defense went in the dumpster but that does not affect his fantasy value as long as a team keeps putting him out there.

6.  Ryan Braun, Bremers- .903.

7.  Mookie Betts, Red Sox- .897.  31 dingers + 29 SB's. Another 5 category stud!

8.  Yoenis Cespedes, Mets- .884.

9.  Christian Yelich, Marlins- .859.

10.  Carlos Gonzalez, Rockies- .855.

11.  Carlos Beltran, Rangers- .850.

12.  Mark Trumbo, Orioles- .850.  47 dingers!

13.  Dexter Fowler, Cubs- .840.

14.  Jackie Bradley, Red Sox- .835.

15.  Ben Zobrist, Cubs- .831.

16.  Khris Davis, A's- 831.  42 dingers!  BTW, would the A's consider selling high on Davis?

17.  Jose Ramirez, Indians- .825.

18.  Yasmany Tomas, D'Backs- .820.

19.  Starling Marte, Pirates- .818.  47 SB's.

20.  Jose Bautista, Blue Jays- .817.

21.  Jay Bruce, Mets- .815.

22.  George Springer, Astros- .815.

23.  Michael Saunders, Blue Jays- .814.

24.  Bryce Harper, Nationals- .814.

25.  Matt Kemp, Braves- .803.

26.  Melky Cabrera, White Sox- .800.

27.  Steven Piscotty, Cardinals- .800.

28.  Curtis Granderson, Mets- .799.

29.  Adam Duvall, Reds- .795.  Duvall hit 20 of his 33 HR's in the months of May and June.

30.  Danny Valencia, A's- .792.

  1. I had Beltran, Trumbo, Gatis, Ramirez & Morales as my OFers/DH's. Ramirez was extremely valuable because he had 2B,3B,SS & OF eligibility in Yahoo!. Trumbo also had 1B so he was good for the odd fill-in.

I spent a lot of time kicking myself in the butt. Before I picked up Gatis I had Khris Davis who'd started slow... That ended up being a bad move on my part.
