OK. This is must viewing. What is it with the name Brian Wilson that everybody who has that name is a genius and plum crazy all at the same time? I've always thought there was something not quite right with Wilson, and that's just fine with me. I love closers who are just a little bit crazy, but this is in a category all by itself!
Check it out: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y01rmZVbM. If that doesn't work, just go to youtube.com and search for "Brian Wilson Jim Rome interview".
The socks and shoes, saying he wanted to be a closer because he hated throwing BP, vintage cellphone. OMG! Check out what he said about why he got fined for the orange shoes: "For having too much awesome on my feet!" LOL! He said when he went out to the mound with the orange shoes he could see there was a commotion and the ump was laughing. He figured there must have been some discussion about "my sweet cleats." LOL!
This was posted over on the sfgiants.com Message Board with some discussion. Apparently Ryne Sandburg once asked somebody who had faced Wilson in college what to look for. The answer: "just don't charge the mound. That's all you need to know." LOL!
Check it out!

right now, wilson is the best interview in the game....and you can see that he is preparing for life after baseball
ReplyDeletewatch him to get a color job right out of the box
Did you hear Wilson's interview on KABC after the game last night? Man, he was really rubbing it in without saying it directly. Basically said he wasn't at all worried at any time in the 9'th inning. He knew the ball hit to RF would not plate the run because Nate has a cannon. Figured he'd get a DP after Blake's leadoff hit. Man, if I was a Dodger fan, or a Dodger, I would have been plenty steamed after that interview!
ReplyDeleteHow can I get his socks that he wore on Jim Rome?
