AAA: Sacramento River Cats defeated the Sugarland Space Cowboys 6-3:
Wade Meckler CF- 1 for 3, HR(7), BB, SB(2). BA= .294.
Thairo Estrada 2B- 1 for 3, 2B, BB. BA= .350.
Bryce Eldridge 1B- 1 for 3, BB. BA= .250.
Carson Whisenhunt LHP- 5 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 3 BB, 6 K's, GO/AO= 4/0. ERA= 5.66.
Kolton Ingram LHP- 2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 2 K's. ERA= 2.96.
Austin Warren RHP- 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K's. ERA= 4.70
Seems like bulking up paid off for Meckler. He's hit 7 HR's in 25 games starting August 18. Meck is a guy who needs another shot at the MLB level. If I'm another GM I'm lying in the weeds waiting for him to be DFA'd or else target him in a trade.
It would sure be nice if we had a player that hit over .300 for the entire year and Meckler has that potential. I would give up 10 hr a year just to have someone hit over .300 with RISP! Those runs count as well and we suck at getting those runners in now.
