Elijah Pleasants RHP-  2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K's.  ERA= 1.00.

I attended this game and discovered a new favorite prospect: Elijah Pleasants!  Long loose limbs on a lean but muscular frame.  Sat 95 on the radar gun.  This guy was pitching in the independent Pioneer League when the Giants purchased his contract on June 12.  Ryan Vanderhei was the victim of some very bad defense but showed a nice 92 MPH FB/slider combo while striking out 7 in 3 IP.  FWIW, Robert Hipwell put the ball in play 3 times all to the left of SS(he is a LH batter).  Cesar Quintas doesn't have a great looking BA but both times I have seen him play he's shown impressive power with no obvious reason he would have such a low BA.

  1. Not just the Pioneer League for Elijah Pleasants but for the now celebrated Oakland Ballers (or "B's"), who sound to have been having a reasonably successful inaugural season as the B's replace the A's. Hopefully he'll make it to the majors faster than Bivens!
