Zach Morgan was promoted from A+ Eugene to AA Richmond on July 30 after batting just .206 for Eugene.  Justin Wishkoski got his promotion from Eugene on 8/1.  Nick Morreale was promoted from Eugene on 7/26.  He was used exclusively as a reliever in Eugene.  Here he pitches 4 innings of shutout ball in his first start of the season.

A:  Rancho Cucamonga Quakes outlasted the San Jose Giants 7-6(10 innings):

Ty Hanchey C- 2 for 5.  BA= .256.

Cesar Quintas RF- 2 for 4, HR(10) HBP.  BA= .228.

Robert Hipwell 3B- 2 for 4, 2B, HR(1).  BA= .286.

Hipwell is the first of the 2024 draft picks to see game action.  He was taken in the 6'th round out of Santa Clara.  He bats lefthanded and had an OPS Of 1.200 his sophomore season.  His stock dropped due to a PED suspension apparently from a OTC product.  Reminder to athletes and non-athletes alike:  Don't take supplements!

After batting just .191 in June, Jhonny Level's bat came to life with a slash line of .323/..430/.462 in July.  He should be in the top 10 of Dr'B's Giants Top 50 Prospects going into next season.
