Walker Martin's bat seems to be coming alive after struggling with the transition to full season ball.  He is 8 for 14 over his last 4 games with 8 walks.  Hmm....maybe his first name is descriptive?

  2. Has to have been a tough year mentally for Luciano...Back and forth between AAA and SF, even though his bat is ready...Permanently, it seems, pulled off of SS and made a full time 2B and trying to get the D down pat. Alot of stuff for a kid to go through...Good to see him regrouping at the Plater..I do no twant to waste this kid with bad handling...If it was me, I would bring him up soon and make him the full time 2B for the rest of the season...ESTRADA might not like that but he has had a bad year.....On ESTRADA, I think he is arbitration eligible next year...Either let him walk or include Luciano in a deal.

Man. salivatiing over ELDRIDGE...up to RICH next year! Giants haven't had a prospect like him in ages....Diaz seems like the real deal also..

I am guessing, for CF, the Giants will be committing to LEE and/or MCCray. next year... Neither is a sure thing even if early results are promising..I gues that's why MATOS, Meckler and whoever might be a potential OFer are only being played at the corners....Some will get dealt this off-season..Connected to the kids, I would let Yaz and Wade, or at least one of them, walk in the off season to go along with saying bye-bye to Conforto

    1. He needs to come back up on Sept 1 and play 2nd every day. Thairo is likely going to be non-tendered this off-season. Luis Matos should be done a solid and be traded this off-season. I'd package him with some other prospects to the White Sox for Andrew Vaughn.

  3. Giants prospect Lisbel Diaz was named Player of the Week in the California League last week
He recorded 12 hits, including three doubles and one triple, in 30 at-bats. He finished the week with three straight, multi-hit games. This included a five-hit performance in a 14-2 win over the Modesto Nuts on Saturday night.
