Three runs of Giants starter Tristan Beck RHP were the only scores in this uninspiring game in Surprise, AZ. Key Lines:
Tristan Beck RHP- 4 IP, 4 H, 3 R, 0 BB, 5 K"s. ERA= 4.61. Beck settled down after the first inning and ended up with strong K/BB numbers but the Giants offense never found traction.
The Giants had 8 hits in the game with Ford Proctor 3B getting the only XBH with a double. He reached base 3 times.
David Villar 1B went 2 for 5. His overall BA of .143 is not great but he's been better since a something-like 0 for 20 start to the spring.
Cade McClure RHP- 2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K's. ERA= 2.70. I have a feeling we'll be seeing more of McClure as the season progresses.
Melvin Adon RHP also pitched a scoreless frame. He's had a great spring but needs to prove he can stay healthy and get AAA hitters out.
The Giants close out the Cactus League season tomorrow with a game against the Mariners in Scottsdale. SP TBD. Could be bullpen game with mostly minor leaguers.
Hunter Bishop to have TJ or internal brace surgery. Either way I doubt he will ever appear as a Giant.
