This was Matt Frisbee's third scoreless start in a row.  Just a quick review on who Matt Frisbee is:  Drafted last year in round 15 out of UNC Greensboro.  6'5", 215.  22 yo.  Only scouting report I could find said "solid FB, devastating slider."  Stellar K/BB in college which is a pattern he has continued in his first full pro season.  Stock moving way up.

  1. Will Matt Frisbee beat fellow 2018 picks Bart, Hjelle, and Wong to San Francisco? If he gets to Richmond this year he might.
Last 15th rounder to be pretty good would be the Rockies Scott Oberg who SF has seen a lot of over the years. Giants won't see another 15th rounder, Phil's Jerad Eichoff, this weekend as he's on the IL. The only other 15th rounder of any notoriety would be the D'backs' former pitcher Josh Collmenter who has retired.
Tough road for late choices but Frisbee has the size and stuff AND the name!

  3. Please call up Shaw. In last night's game, he also drove in the game tying and game winning runs. He has nothing left to prove at the minor league level.
