Not sure what the point of watching Joey Bart stroll out and destroy the NWL every other night is.  Give the man a challenge already!  I think he got bored with all that hitting and decided to steal a base just to stay interested.  Ricardo Genoves bat has come alive.  He is 11 for 24 in his last 7 games.

  1. It's encouraging to see young SP's like Blach, Stratton, Suarez, and Rodriquez contributing in the majors. The system went thru a long drought. I know Stratton just got sent down again. How is that gonna help his confidence? I know their new farm director David Bell came from the Cardinals. I've been impressed that the Cardinal system seems to produce a steady flow of young arms. This year they have Flaherty, Weaver, Gant, Gomber, and others.. Maybe Bell can share some insight as to what the Cardinals look for when they scout a pitcher. Hopefully the Giants system can start to produce a steady flow of young pitching again.
