What is Peter Bourjos, 31, doing? What are the Giants doing?
ReplyDeleteA career major league flop, he's taking up an AAA spot -- maybe the Giants have no one in their system who should be there? -- and truly, he could slash .350/.450/.999 and he's still going to fail at the MLB level.
He's AAAA, but, let him be that in the Dodger organization.
Someone named Matt Lipka is playing CF for the Richmond Flying Squirrels(AA) so yeah, once Steven Duggar was called up the cupboard was bare for CF prospects capable of playing at the AAA level. I would add that Bourjos would not be the first guy who had kicked and bounced around the fringes of MLB who the Giants found a way to squeeze some value out of. Think Andres Torres, Gregor Blanco, Gorkys Hernandez and a few others.
