Clayton Kershaw induced a career high 4 GIDP's out of the Giants which helped him shut them down for 7 innings. Mac Williamson homered to CF in the 8'th inning, but it was too little, too late. Key Lines:
Hunter Pence RF- 3 for 4. BA= .259. Pence did not figure into any scoring in the game. He was the lead runner on 2 of the GIDP's.
Mac Williamson LF- 3 for 4, HR(3). BA= .242. Mac also had an assist at 3B from the OF. I STILL think Mac might be the Giants best hope for a 30 dinger/year LF, but he's out of options, so has to make the 25 man roster or be DFA'd and go through waivers.
Chris Stratton RHP- 4 IP, 5 H, 3 R, 2 BB, 2 K. ERA= 4.15. I did not see the game, so hard to comment here. He threw 84 pitches in the 4 innings, though, which tells you something.
Ty Blach LHP- 3 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 0 K. ERA= 4.84. Maybe Blach and Stratton can be tandem 5'th starters next year?
