Back from a nice vacay. Will try to do a few catch up posts.
This was a game that probably should have been postponed as it was initially delayed and then delayed again after the first batter. It finally started after 10 PM and ended at about 2:30 AM on 9/12. The hitters seemed to adjust better than the pitchers. Key Lines:
Hunter Pence RF- 3 for 5, 3B. BA= .252. The Hunter Pence leadoff experiment went well as he was a sparkplug at the top of the order.
Denard Span- CF- 2 for 3, HR(12), BB. BA= .261. Span sets a personal record for HR's in a season. He hit 3'rd in the lineup in this game.
Buster Posey 1B- 2 for 4, 2B. BA= .321. Hundley's ability to handle the catching allows Buster to play more 1B which seems to help keep him from grinding down.
Jarrett Parker LF- 1 for 4, HR(4). BA= .244. Second dinger in 2 days for Parker.
Chris Stratton RHP- 0.1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K. ERA= 4.07. Stratton started the game and struck out the only batter he faced before the weather turned bad again. Nice to wonder what he might have done without the second stoppage.
