  1. Farm system looks interesting this year with several top prospects in AAA who could help the Giants this year. I'm a Casey Schmidt fan and think he could help the Giants now since he's such a good defender but I wonder what plans the FO has for him: give him AAA experience till June and call him up, or play AAA ball for the whole season which would be disappointing. I know he's gaining valuable every day reps playing SS/3rd base in AAA but I hope the FO makes room for him later so he can get called up. Heard on a podcast that Kyle Harrison is one of the top pitchers in AAA stuff wise not control wise according to Enos Sarros. Nothing wrong for him figuring stuff out in AAA, only 21 years old. Also Richmond is going to be really interesting when Marco Luciano and Vaun Brown join the team.

    1. The way J. D. Davis is raking and picking it at 3B makes a promotion for Casey Schmitt less urgent. They might need him more at SS and he seems to be playing at least half his games there. Other question is what happens to David Villar who despite the occasional bomb is struggling to make contact at the plate.

  2. Meckler seems to handling High A pitching. Do you expect him to moved up to AA sooner than later

  4. Giants have a CF bottleneck in AA (Matos & Mungia) and A+ (McCray & Meckler) but AAA has Wisely, an infielder, platooning with Matheny, also an IFer, and Ramos (when he's not with SF playing LF inadequately).
Vaun will further complicate Richmond when he comes off the IL.
Seems like they should get one of the "real" CFers to AAA., especially now that Johnson is on the concussion DL.
Slater will provide some relief (soon) at the MLB level, but they still lack a LHB if Johnson stays on the interstate.

    1. The problem is none of the CF's at AA or below are ready for AAA.
