  1. Nothing not to like about Casey Schmitt, except perhaps, you'd like more power from a 3B:
    54 PA, 5 2B, 0 HR, 5 2B, 1 W, 14 K (26%)
Curiously, his OBP is lower than his BA (3 extra PA: 1 W & 2 SF).
He's playing much more SS than 3B this year.
Per Marc Delucchi: "Zaidi revealed that he believes Schmitt is a viable big-league shortstop" and ".... considered the best infield defender in the farm system, Schmitt has handled shortstop surprisingly well." (https://www.si.com/mlb/giants/news/sf-giants-prospects-casey-schmitt-farhan-zaidi-ready)
At 24 yo, he is -2.6 years below AAA average.
What a difference he could make to the Giants! Fingers crossed!

    1. When a player reaches a new level I like to see them making consistent contact and am willing to let the power come when they get settled in and more confident at the plate.

    2. Hold that thought. Looks like Giants rallied late.
