HeH Doc;
ReplyDeleteAny status report on Mac Williamson?
Richard in Winnipeg
Mac had successful TJ surgery and expects to be ready to play next spring.
DeleteOh crap, I did not have a clue. Not used to hearing of tj surgery for non pitching players.Thanks Doc.

Yeah, shocking but it turns out he was a pitcher before, if I recall correctly.
DeleteDr B,
ReplyDeleteAny good pitchers to watch this weekend in the IE (High A SJ Giants)? I was more in tune with the graduated ones that are now in AA.
Unfortunately, most of the SJ starters are struggling. From a scouting perspective, Joan Gregorio and Kendry Flores are probably the most interesting along with Pat Young. On the reliever side, Hunter Strickland sounds very exciting as does Stephen Johnson and closer Steven Okert, so you'll have to stick around to see the most interesting pitchers.
DeleteI figured Hembree let everyone know he isn't ready? If he continues to stall, he might be seeing some better stoppers going by. Heath just gives up too many hits... The strikeouts versus innings is a good thing, but I consider Law and Hall are catching up rather quickly...

I tend to believe Hembree is one of those pitchers who will do better in the majors than the minors. Don't ask me why. Just a feeling.
