AAA Reno Aces topped the Fresno Grizzlies 7-2:
Tony Abreu(3B)- 2 for 4, 2B, HR(4). BA= .299.
Edwin Escobar(LHP)- 5 IP, 11 H, 5 R, 4 ER, 2 BB, 3 K's. ERA= 5.18.
George Kontos(RHP)- 2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 2 K's. ERA= 4.43.
Escobar had a couple of impressive games after tweaking his mechanics, but has not been impressive in his last several starts.
AA Richmond Flying Squirrels were idle.
High A San Jose Giants were idle.
Low A Hickory Crawdads pounded the Augusta Greenjackets 12-7:
Cristian Paulino(CF)- 1 for 5, HR(1). BA= .263.
Jeremy Sy(2B)- 3 for 4, HR(1). BA= .247.
Tyler Horan(RF)- 2 for 4, 2B, 3B. BA= .325.
Eugene Escalante(LF)- 2 for 3, 2B, 3 E. BA= .184.
Escalante is obviously a work in progress in LF. 3 E! Ouch! Greenjackets made a total of 5 OF errors. I'm pretty sure some entire teams do not make 5 OF errors in a full season!
