Game Wrap 9/20/2019: Braves 6 Giants 0

Tyler Beede was a gamer but the Braves lineup was too much to handle.  Mike Yastrzemski was a gamer but got no help from the rest of the lineup.  Braves easily clinch the NL East championship. Key Lines:

Mike Yastrzemski RF-CF- 3 for 4, 2B.  BA= .272.  YtY is now 7 for 17 on the road trip with 2 doubles a HR and 2 walks.  He is hitting .302 for September.

Tyler Beede RHP- 6 IP, 7 H, 6 R, 2 BB, 5 K's.  ERA= 5.23.  Other than not being able to contain Ronald Acuna Jr and Ozzie Albies at the top of the Braves lineup, Beede actually pitched pretty well.    And it's not like other pitchers in the league have exactly shut Acuna Jr down.

Johnny Cueto tries to even the series tomorrow evening facing LHP Max Fried.

  1. March of the Greybeards?
Dubón (25 yo) will "save" the Giants from fielding this starting 9 next opening day:
    Posey 33, Belt 32, Solano 32, Crawford 33, Longoria 34, Dickerson 30, Pillar 31, Yastrzemski 29, Samardzija 35 (or Cueto 34)
unless Duggar 26 has something to say about it.
Without a couple "new" strong SPs to go along with healthy Cueto and Samardzija, 2020 could make 2019 look good.
Could Bumgarner 30 and Pomeranz 31 be signed?
