AAA(Championship Series) Sacramento River Cats outscored the Round Rock Express 8-7:
Abiatal Avelino SS- 2 for 5, 2B. BA= .400.
Francisco Pena DH- 4 for 4, HR.
Jacob Heyward LF- 2 for 4, 2B.
Levi Michael 2B- 1 for 3, HR, BB. BA= .333.
Avelino has been particularly productive as the Cats leadoff hitter in the postseason.

PCL championship in September is battle of AA replacements, AAAAers, and marginal eventual major leaguers.
ReplyDeleteThe expansion of ML rosters wrecks the teams that have earned their way to the minor league playoffs with future major league stars. This River Cat team is not a serious team.
What a game, though, there were 8 lead changes, 3 from the bottom of the 8th to the walk off!
