High A San Jose Giants outlasted the Visalia Rawhide 5-4 in 13 innings:
Chuckie Jones(RF-CF)- 2 for 6. BA= .242.
Angel Villalona(1B)- 1 for 4, HR(3), 2 BB. BA= .290.
Aramis Garcia(Catcher)- 2 for 4, HR(2), Sac. BA= .346.
Andrew Suarez(LHP)- 6 IP, 7 H, 3 R, 2 ER, 1 BB, 6 K's. ERA= 3.00.
Bullpen- 7 IP, 5 H, 1 R, 0 BB, 8 K's.
All stats are for postseason play only. Hopefully, Villalona will take this late season success as motivation to get into better shape for next season. It is not too late for him, but he needs to be in better shape! Garcia has really stepped up in the postseason. Suarez is getting a great jump on next year which will be his first full pro season with this postseason experience. Gotta mention the fantastic bullpen work that has been true all season for SJ.
The Giants were able to extend the playoff series to a 5'th and deciding game tonight. Sam Coonrod gets the start.
