Game Wrap 9/13/2015: Giants 10 Padres 3

Mike Leake fell behind early but picked himself up with a 3-run HR in the second inning.  It seemed like the Padres kind of gave up after that and did not play well as the Giants cruised to the win going away to complete the sweep of the weekend series.  Key Lines:

Angel Pagan- 2 for 4, BB, 3 SB(9).  BA= .265.  Baggs pointed out the history between Pagan and Padres catcher Derek Norris.  Maybe Pagan was showing him up or maybe Pagan is just finally feeling good is playing with requisite enthusiasm?

Matt Duffy- 2 for 4, BB.  BA= .299.  Just when you think Duffy might be going into a slump out of exhaustion, you look up and he has 2 more hits.  He continues to play scintillating defense at 3B to boot.

Buster Posey- 2 for 3, 2B, 2 BB.  BA= .329.  I like it that Buster is playing within himself ignoring calls for more power.

Ehire Adrianza- 1 for 3, BB.  BA= .178.  Adrianza had another nice day at the plate with an additional hard hit ball that went for a groundout to 2B.  He had 1 defensive lapse dropping an ill-advised throw from Brandon Belt that should have gotten the lead runner but otherwise made several more quietly spectacular plays on defense, particularly a hurry up jump throw from deep in the hole that showed off an arm that does not take a backseat to Brandon Crawford.

Mike Leake- 1 for 3, HR(2).  BA= .125.  This was Leake's first HR as a Giant.  It is just me or was Bummy's high 5 not quite as enthusiastic as the rest in the dugout?  Just kidding, Bummy!

Mike Leake- 6 IP, 4 H, 3 R, 2 BB, 2 K's.  ERA= 3.72.  Leake got off to a rocky start allowing 2 triples in the first inning and 3 runs in the first 2 innings.  He settled down after his dinger gave the Giants the lead with the help of some fine defensive work by several Giants fielders, most notably Adrianza and Duffy.

The Cincinnati Reds come to town starting tomorrow night with Tim Hudson facing Keyvius Sampson.
