2024(AAA): .247/.317/.382, 11 HR, 15 SB, 8.3 BB%, 413 PA.
Another first round draft pick who lost development time to COVID and injuries essentially wiping out his 2020, 2021 and 2023 seasons. Although his performance last season was not what you want to see from first round draft pick, he seemed to be healthy and got in a full season's worth of PA's. He has the tools to play in the major leagues if he can improve his contact skills.
Did Ryan Reckley fall even out of Honorable Mention.?
ReplyDeleteHe wasn't especial in SSS @ SJ last year but he's gone @ 19 yo?
So far, Ryan Reckley has not done anything to make me think he is a serious prospect. I saw him play in person last season and did not see anything particularly impressive. Just my opinion FWIW.
DeleteAgree, the encouraging thing about Bishop he stayed healthy and got a full season on abs. I was waiting for his batting average to drop significantly in AAA due to his lack of experience but it didn't. Its gonna be a tough road for him to make MLB, it might depend on how much determination he has inside to keep grinding away to make it happen. Like you said he has the tools to play in mlb.
