No sign of top 2 round picks Bryce Eldridge and Walker Martin. Remember all but Ortiz on this list are drafted or signed out of college. Until last season most of them would be assigned to advanced short season ball.
Bryce Johnson CF (AAAA) just keeps on hitting for Sacramento...
ReplyDeleteWithout options and no place to go in Giantland, could the rapidly improving Sean Roby 1B be traded to someone?
ReplyDeleteHe has picked up his game of late but only to A+.
Read a good article on Meckler written by Pav's on 7/19. 'Meckler on fast track'. Interesting that he compares favorably to Guardians OF Steven Kwan. Both played college ball at Oregan St, are smallish 5'10" left handed hitters, limited power Meckler has 4 hrs this season, but high BAs in AA, and both with high OBP over 400 in AA. It doesn't sound like an impressive profile but Kwan finished 3rd in 2021 rookie of the year voting with a 298 BA. Meckler iis an interesting prospect, maybe he'll get a callup soon to AAA and have a chance to crack the MLB roster in 2024?
ReplyDeleteHe got it!
