 AAA:  Reno Aces downed the Sacramento River Cats 3-2.

Sean Hjelle RHP- 5 IP, 5 H, 3 R, 2 ER, 2 BB, 3 K's, GO/AO= 9/2.  ERA= 5.28.

Will Wilson homers in his second consecutive game.  A mixed bag for Harrison.  The 8 K's are dominant.  Cole Waites makes his AA debut.  After some early season struggles, Dabovich has allowed just one run in his last 12.1 IP over 10 appearances.

  1. It would seem that Vaun Brown ought to be promoted not to Eugene but to Richmond. There's no point leaving him in low A and he's an older prospect anyway.

    Likewise Hunter Bishop just needs to spend a whole year in Eugene getting regular at-bats, which he hasn't had in years. Maybe inch by inch something will come of him.

    Finally, what's the deal with Casey Schmitt at SS? Are they pulling a Cal Ripkin with him?

    1. The most difficult jump in the minor leagues after AAA to majors is A+ to AA which is an even greater gap for Giants hitting prospects due to the unfriendly hitter environment in Richmond. I would be extremely surprised if the Giants promoted Vaun Brown directly from A SJ to AA Richmond.
