R. J. Dabovich RHP- 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 0 K.  ERA= 0.00.
Mauricio Llovera RHP- 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 2 K's.  ERA= 0.00. 

R. J. Dabovich gets promoted to AAA.

Ryan Murphy gets a rough greeting to AA.  The Baysox have crushed the Squirrels 3 games in a row.

Keaton Winn gets a rough welcome to A+ ball.  Hey!  It's a higher level for a reason!

A:  San Jose Giants cracked the Modesto Nuts 3-1.

Seth Lonsway LHP- 6 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 3 BB, 3 K, GO/AO= 11/2.  ERA= 3.21.
Jose Cruz RHP- 2 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 0 BB, 5 K's.  ERA= 2.82.

Jose Cruz has 43 K in 22.1 IP.  I am impressed with his stat line, video clips and in-person observation.  Very loose, live arm.

  1. Query your thoughts on Bryce Johnson. Steady progress up the system. Seems to have good numbers at AAA last year, good OBP, switch hitter, strong base stealer (30 last year), and I infer from various comments that he's a reasonably plus CF. On splits, last year stronger as a LH hitter; this year stronger as a RH hitter. But he's 26 now, and I gather he's up or out this year. He rarely seems mentioned as a prospect, but his name has showed up in your highlights for years. Is the organization just unenthused about him or perhaps the type of player he represents -- maybe a little old-fashioned for their True Outcomes tastes?

    1. I almost wrote a comment about Bryce Johnson saying maybe it's time to give him a shot at CF? I suspect FZ and Kap are looking for more power, though.

  2. Intrigued by David Villars...power at tough AA...killing it at AAA...reported as a good defender...I guess Longo is blocking him?
