  1. Really impressed with Sandro Fabian's performance in the 2nd half, particularly considering Doc's mention that if Fabian hits above .220, that's just fine for this stage. He's been really pretty consistent, and now a little late season surge - that's really good news there. He'll still be 20 next year, right? Wow.

Also impressed with Helio Ramos keeping up the work. Impressive kid, impressive. What are they doing to do with him next year (at 19)? Short Season? Low A? Regardless, I hope they've got a strong development plan in mind, the kids clearly has the talent & tools!

  2. Carlos Alvarado has stayed healthy, lots of K's, flyball pitcher, too many HRs?

  3. surprised not hearing anything about nick hundley. no reason for the giants to keep him around. any chance the giants can get a team's 20-30 prospect back for him

  4. Anyone think Giants are going to move anyone?
    Are they asking too much?
Or, do the contenders think Giants aren't worth having for any price?
Cubs may have paid dearly for Jose Quintana but that beats what the rest of the Central is doing to keep up.
Royals and Rays are players, Rangers not?
D'backs and Rox may have to fight off a #2 for WC in the Central if the also-rans decide to compete.
Playing in October as a WC does not seem to be a priority for Milwaukee (is Anthony Swarzak enough?), Twins (is Jaime Garcia anything), St Louis, Pittsburgh, BJ's, Angels, Seattle (David Phelps?) -- there are teams that are in reach, but...
