  1. Do you think that Sandoval would get booed at AT&T?
Giants might try it out on the road.

    1. I'd boo him. I'm, generally speaking, not a fan of the players but of the team. This is the lineup from the very first game I ever went to. It was a double header against the Phillies back in 1969:

      Dave Marshall LF
      Ron Hunt 2B
      Bobby Bonds CF
      Willie McCovey 1B
      Ken Henderson RF
      Tito Fuentes 3B
      Jim Davenport 3B
      Hal Lanier SS
      Bob Barton C
      Mike McCormick P

Willie Mays didn't play that day. But by then he was not the Great Willie Mays but just Willie Mays. Of course, being 'just Willie Mays' made him one of the best players in the game still. But father time was catching him and he hadn't had 500 ABs in a season since 1966 as the Giants were resting him far more than they had in his prime.

    2. Wow! I listened to a lot of Giants games on the radio from 1966-1972. I thought I knew the name of every obscure Giants from that era. I have no recollection of ever hearing the name Dave Marshall. Looked him up and sure enough, he actually appeared in quite a few games. Even after seeing the name and looking him up, I still cannot recall every hearing Russ or Lon call his name on a broadcast.
