Hunter Bishop will be playing his 80th game in 2019 -- his first game of the year was February 15th against Notre Dame, finishing the season in the NCAA Regionals in June. He also played the Cape Cod League after the 2017 and 2018 seasons.

Are a pair of 1st year 22 year-olds, Simon Whiteman, SS, .341 last 10 @ Augusta, and Jeff Houghtby, 2B, .342 last 10 @ S-K, the near term keystone future of the Giants?
ReplyDeleteIf so, SF better get some sluggers at the corners and in the OF -- the duo have combined for 3 HRs in their professional careers (all by Houghtby).
The pair were drafted out of college powerhouses, Yale and San Diego U, in the 9th and 10th rounds this year -- maybe they're using their college smarts to harvest basehits!
Dalton Combs: what do you do with a guy who isn't fast, throws LH, doesn't excel in the field, lacks power, BUT seems to hit well (although he's old for his level)?
