  1. In the never-ending drama of trying to be the Giants 8th position player, 26-yo Mike Gerber got 16 plate appearances (1 2B, 1 W).
Is that enough to decide that he's just a AAAA player (.330/.394/.638, 15 HRs in 221 ABs)?
Nearly everyone of the others on the merry-go-round got more MLB plate appearances:
    Austin 98
    Parra 97
    Solarte 78
    Yaztrezemski 73
    Mac 57
    Solano 47
    Kratz 36
    Garcia 17
    Joe 16
    Reed 8
    Altherr 1

Will Gerber get another shot? Does 16 plate appearances seal his fate for the last place Giants?

  2. Gerber, Slater and Shaw should be up after the Trade Deadline if Z can move Pillar, Sandoval and hopefully Belt.

  3. Reading the articles spinning around it looks like Clint Frazier is our future LF.

Anyone interested in NYY's Frazier CF?

  5. I love all the Frazier rumors. A few days ago I knew nothing about this guy. He is quirky - has a sneaker fetish and wears all sorts of outlandish spikes to work. he also has one of the QUICKEST bats in the majors. He has upright stance and squared to pull the ball which explodes off his bat - I have not checked the velocity stats - but all the commentators marvel at his strong wrists and quick bat.

Giants are so boring - all been said - no personality or zip on this team and so many lifeless bats - bring this Frazier kid over - I know he is pouting because he was demoted and so forth - I am eager to see a lively bat in the lineup.

PS keep playing Austin Tyler - I like his bat also - almost took Kershaw deep last night.

Message to FO - start dealing!!
