Young Yaz is hitting .372 over his last 10 games.  Henry Ramos is hitting .306 over his last 10.  AAA Phase Rule 5 Draft Pick, Sam Moll, has 10 K and 1 BB in 8.2 IP over 5 Appearances.

AA  Bowie Baysox pounded the Richmond Flying Squirrels 8-5:

Johneshwy Fargas CF- 0 for 2, 2 BB.  BA= .220.
Chris Shaw LF- 3 for 4, 2B, HR(6), BB.  BA= .276.
Jalen Miller 2B- 2 for 5, HR(7).  BA= .255.
Alfred Gutierrez RHP- 5 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 1 BB, 4 K's.  ERA= 4.76.
Melvin Adon RHP- 1 IP, 3 H, 3 R, 2 BB, 1 K.  ERA= 4.86.
Raffi Vizcaino RHP- 1.1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K's.  ERA= 0.00.

Chris Shaw is hitting .289 with 4 HR's over his last 10 games.  Does anyone realize how awesome Jalen Miller's early season is?  He's on a pace to hit 34 HR's and steal 44 bases in 600 PA.  That comes with a BABIP of just .232.  His walk rate has spiked up to 13% from 5% and an identical K rate down from 21%.  The only stat that looks unsustainable is a HR/FB of 18%.  It may be just SSS with 124 PA's, but definitely a story to keep watching.  Raffi Vizcaino picks up where he left off in San Jose with a scoreless AA debut.

A+  Lake Elsinore Storm rolled over the San Jose Giants 6-4:

Logan Baldwin RF- 2 for 5, 2 2B.  BA= .348.
Kyle McPherson 2B- 2 for 4.  BA= .240.

A  West Virginia Power defeated the Augusta Greenjackets 5-3:

Ismael Munguia DH- 1 for 2, 2 BB, SB(5).  BA= .330.
Diego Rincones LF- 2 for 4, 3B.  BA= .257.
Jesus Tona RHP- 3 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 4 K's.  ERA= 1.59.

Jesus Tona has been the GJ's Closer, but got stretched here.  Maybe converting to SP?

  1. Aaron Altherr come on down! You are the next contestant on the Giants roster merry-go-round! Is Farhan just a kids table version of Jerry DiPoto? Jerry isnt afraid to go big of course when he makes moves but Farhan seems to be playing the penny slots trying to strike gold. All of his moves have reeked of cheap desperation. Giving him credit for anything that goes right at this point is like giving someone credit for hitting a barn with a shotgun from 20 feet away. I can’t wait to see who he wastes our first round draft pick on this year and next!
