Scouting the 2017 Draft: Blayne Enlow

Blayne Enlow, RHP.  6'4", 180 lbs.

HS RHP out of Louisiana.  Enlow has a fairly standard looking delivery.  He looks like he has good command of a FB that gets up to 94 MPH and backs it up with a "12-6" curveball that is rated one of the better ones in the draft class.  That is a pretty good start for a HS pitching prospect.  He has oodles of room to fill out his frame and get stronger.  Not in the upper echelon of HS draft pitchers, but should be in the upper end of the second tier.

  1. Hello DrB! I have recently published a post about possible draft prospects the Giants should take.

What do you think of Keston Hiura? Pure hitter, great college BA, great kid, okay speed but can play anywhere type of player. Thank you!

    1. Thanks, Wrenzie. I will eventually get to him.

  2. Hi Wrenzie, Great stuff! Hiura, and his player archetype, strike me as more of a 2nd round pick. But as we have seen with the Giants, the only thing predictable about them is that they are unpredictable... and they make it work!

    1. Thanks bballjunkie! If I can comp Hiura, I can only think of one guy and that's Christian Arroyo but if I am the GM, i am all in on Garrett Mitchell. The guy can be special.

  3. Enlow sounds like the kind of guy the Giants might take, and might be able to take at their position. Interesting - thanks!
