R.J. Dabovich RHP- 2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 0 K.  BA= .415.
Cole Waites RHP- 1.2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 4 K's.  ERA= 0.00.

Can someone remind me why Zack Littell pitched for the Giants yesterday while Cole Waites pitched for the River Cats?

AA:  Richmond Flying Squirrels outscored the Bowie Baysox 8-6.

Will Wilson 2B- 2 for 5, 2B.  BA= .245.
Tristan Peters LF- 3 for 4, HR(1), BB.  BA= .218.

A+:  Vancouver Canadians crushed the Eugene Emeralds 9-1.

Trevor McDonald RHP- 6 IP, 6 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 7 K's, GO/AO= 6/1.  ERA= 1.64.

IDK if anyone made more progress as a prospect this season than Trevor McDonald.  I saw him pitch in person on May against Inland Empire when he gave up 9 ER in 6.2 IP but looked like he had good stuff.  He's been dominant ever since and has successfully taken it to the next level.  Moves way up the Giants prospect rankings.  Has another year before he is Rule 5 eligible.

A:  San Jose Giants pounded the Fresno Grizzlies 9-3.

Victor Bericoto RF- 3 for 5, HR(12).  BA= .268.
Wade Meckler LF- 3 for 5, 2B.  BA= .458.
Aeverson Arteaga SS- 1 for 3, 2 BB.  BA= .268.
Logan Wyatt DH- 2 for 4, 2 2B.  BA= .167.
Garrett Frechette 1B- 2 for 3, 2B, BB.  BA= .255.
Jose Cruz RHP- 2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 3 K's.  ERA= 2.12.

Is there any hope for Logan Wyatt as a prospect?

  1. Waites isn't on the 40 man yet, and they would give up a spot that FZ can keep roster churning with.

That said - I think a few guys should get added and play over signing guys off the junk heap.

  2. Sooner or later, Farhan will throw in the towel on rosterbation and decide what he's going to shoot for in 2023 and how many 40-man slots will go for declining players that won't get the Giants any closer to .500 next year than this at the cost of losing some worth prospects in the Rule 5 draft.

  4. Wyatt's chance is quite a bit less than his BA...
