I already miss folllwing Jonah Cox in AA this year. His pursuit of hitting over .400 had been the highlight of the year. Stupid of the Giants to call him up just to be a bench player. He’s on fire and if you just want him as a bench player on a bad team then just let him continue to get consistent reps in AAA
ReplyDeleteJim Callis mlb.com just came out with latest mock says if Roch, Emerson, Lackey not available at #4 Giants prefer to take Jacob Lombard over Flora RHP and Booth OF. I think I'll be happy with which ever player they take, they all sound like great prospects!

DeleteYes, as much as Flora is clearly the top pitcher available, there are a lot of quality pitching prospects in this draft, enough so that the Giants could easily find a pitcher at #29 who would have gone much earlier in another year’s draft. I read somewhere that the swing and miss issue that Jacob showed in last year’s summer showcase circuit were the same problems his brother had, and apparently those were fixed through coaching, so that George Jr is now in AAA knocking on the door to MLB
