Fangraphs prospect list yesterday said Whitman’s velocity is up this year.
ReplyDeleteBernard getting stretched out?
Level seems to be handling High A pitching just fine so far
ReplyDeleteLooked like Whitman has simplified his delivery. He was consistently pounding the strike zone and had good control of his off-speed pitches, too. He looked really really smooth.
ReplyDeleteDoc you have been paying attention to prospects maybe longer than I’ve been alive. Do you think this is the best farm system the giants have had in memory?
ReplyDelete- Fan
Maybe too early to tell. The window when Matt Cain and Tim Lincecum had just graduated and Bum, Buster, Crawford and Belt were all still prospects was really good. What I like most about the current farm is the consistent pipeline of international talent they seem to have established. Those players are still very young, though.
