  1. Re Adam Duvall: I would hope that management is working to trade Duvall. If he doesn't have a (future) place on the Giants that is - as most of y'all have indicated, he would seem to make a fine DH. Does he have anything more to prove in AAA?

    1. I do not believe Adam Duvall has any significant trade value. AL teams want seasoned hitters for the DH position.

    2. My guess is they'll keep Duvall through Spring training, but if there's no place for him I would hope (and it would be consistent with the team's style) that they would work to get him to a team that would give him a MLB shot in 2016.

Then again, I think there's a chance Belt is traded in the off season to open up more playing time at 1B for Posey, who could still catch 1-2 games a week. A Belt trade could also re-stock the farm system after the Hamels acquisition (we'll see). In that scenario there might be room for a backup 1st baseman and PH.

    3. He's a throw in type like Seth rosin in hunter pence deal. That doesn't mean he couldn't be a throw in for a larger deal.

    4. Power + clutch RBI hitting like Duvall's is pretty hard to come by. That's ridiculous: 8 HR in his 14 most recent games! I wish he got a longer look in MLB. Maybe we trade him, I think eternally cash-strapped AL teams like TB and CLE would value him as a lottery ticket who could help. Maybe a RHB platoon at 1B (and DH) for SEA, CHW, or HOU? Obviously, he wouldn't be the featured player in a big trade, but value could still be there. I think he can become a 6th year minor league free agent after 2015. I hope he gets his shot somewhere.

It's not much, but it's not nothing... Angomas quietly has played 6 AZL games (.292 avg/.708 ops) in the past 10 days after only 8 games in the first month. Three outfield assists in less than 2 games, love that. (RF- 2B, LF- 3B, LF- home). Lots of very nice performers around our minors.

    5. I don't think we can just pencil Posey in at 1B. If we make any significant trades then Susac might be on his way out. Susac allowed Posey to go to 1B without a huge loss in performance. Susac is a huge upgrade from Sanchez.

  2. Bickford pitched 86 2/3 innings in college ball this year according to the press release when he was drafted. "... He struck out 166 and walked 21 in 86 2/3 innings. ..." That was over 16 starts.

    1. That is not an excessive workload, but not light either.
