AAA  Salt Lake City Bees stung the Fresno Grizzlies 6-4:

Gary Brown(CF)- 2 for 3, 2B, 2 HBP.  BA= .209.
Johnny Monell(DH)- 2 for 5, 2B.  BA= .277.
Jackson Williams(C)- 1 for 3, 3B, BB.  BA= .197.
Mike Kickham(LHP)- 6 IP, 4 H, 3 R, 4 BB, 3 K's.  ERA= 4.57.
Jake Dunning(RHP)- 0 IP, 2 H, 2 R, 0 BB, 1 K.  ERA= 2.00.

AA  Trenton Thunder edged the Richmond Flying Squirrels 3-2:

Ricky Oropesa(1B)- 1 for 4, HR(5).  BA= .222.
Brett Krill(LF)- 2 for 3, SB(2).   BA= .282.
Craig Westcott(RHP)- 5 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 2 BB, 3 K's.  ERA= 3.71.

High A  San Jose Giants defeated the Lancaster Jethawks 5-3:

Mac Williamson(RF)- 2 for 3, HR(9), BB, SB(4).  BA= .255.
Eric Surkamp(LHP)- 2 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 1 BB, 2 K's.  ERA= 2.25.
Bryce Bandilla(LHP)- 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K's.  ERA= 3.71.

Williamson extends his hit streak to 8 games in which he is 12 for 29(.414).

Low A  Augusta Greenjackets vs Lexington Legends rained out.

DSL  Orioles1 blanked the Giants 4-0.

Nothing to see here.  The Giants managed just 2 hits in the game.

  1. Fresno is 4 games under .500. At the end of ST some were saying we were sending a big league down to triple A. They did look pretty good.

    Oh well.

    2. When your starting rotation is populated by the like of Shane Loux and Boof Bonser, your W-L record is not going to be good.

      The minors are all about individual performance.

  2. Ryder Jones signed on Monday. No mention of the terms. Nice to them get started with the signings, and landing a big fish right out of the gate is nice.

  3. I forgot to note that Gary Brown has usually struggled with each new level he's at, but up to now, has been able to figure out how to hit well at that level at some point and advance to the next level. I'm still a Gary Brown believer!
