McCray and Brown have been making a lot of noise for the "Baby" Giants.
ReplyDeleteBrown came in to pinchhit in the bottom of the 10th and was hit by pitcher. SJ loaded the bases in the 10th but lost as Storm scored their ghost runner and SJ didn't.
Brown named California League Player of the Week. (Will Bednar previously earned Pitcher of the Week.)
Brown now leads the team in batting average (.317), home runs (6), stolen bases (8) and runs (20). Coming out of a Division II, he was unheralded and drafted in the 10th round last year with a $7,500 bonus. He may be the "Best Buy" of the year! He is "old" for an "A" league.
