Until the 8th inning collapse, the game was interesting, frustrating, but always hopeful.
ReplyDeleteCueto's performance was much like a final ST effort, when he would be getting his pitches in to be ready for the season, rather than what happened: he was getting his pitches in to be ready for ST.
The Giants, although down 5-0 before batting the second time, always seemed to be on the verge of breaking through with 8 hits and 8 walks received, but all they managed with 19 runners on base were 2 sacrifice flies, one of which almost wasn't.
0-10 with RISP.
Dickerson (6), Vogt (5), Longoria (4), Crawford (3), Yastrzemski (3), Belt (2), Crawford (2), Shaw (2), and Davis (2) combined to Leave 27 Runners on Base collectively.
