DrB's 2024 Giants Top 50 Prospects: Dominican Dandies(Part 2)

Dario Reynoso 3B.  DOB:  3/22/2005.  B-R, T-R.  5'10", 180 lbs.  

.288/.460/.471, 3 HR, 12 SB, 21.9 BB%, 29.9 K%, 137 PA.  Reynoso's name started showing up in daily Down on the Farm posts right out of the gate as the DSL got started.  There is nothing to not like here except maybe the K rate of 30.  Power, walk rate, speed.  I see no reason for him to not graduate to the ACL for his age 19 season with potential for a later season promotion to San Jose to get his feet wet in full season ball.  Maybe not quite as elite a prospect as Rayner Arias but I'm really excited for this kid.

Angel Guzman OF.  DOB:  11/15/2005.  B-L, T-L.  5'11", 170 lbs.

.257/.392/.450, 4 HR, 6 SB, 15.8 BB%, 18.7 K%, 171 PA.  Guzman is 8 mo younger than Dario Reynoso but that is the difference between playing a full short season at age 17 vs age 18 for Reynoso.  Guzman has all the positives of Reynoso but with a much better K rate and he's a full year younger in playing age.  Another DSL youngster who should be in Arizona this summer.

Lisbel Diaz OF.  DOB:  7/19/2005.  B-R, T-R.  6'2", 201 lbs.  

.312/.386/.455, 3 HR, 8.0 BB%, 11.4 K%, 88 PA.  Another kid who was born late enough in the year for 2023 to be his age 17 season.  A lot bigger than either Reynoso or Guzman.  That may give him a higher ceiling or it may limit him defensively.  Will the 88 PA's be enough to get him a ticket to Arizona?  The numbers sure look like it but SSS.

Jose Bello RHP.  DOB:  5/29/2005.  6'1", 164 lbs.  

1-2, 3.55, 33 IP, 10.64 K/9, 2.73 BB/9.  GB/FB= 2.00, xFIP= 3.12.  Here's a younger pitcher who looks ready for a higher assignment.

Carlos Rangel LHP.  DOB:  3/4/2004.  6'3", 175 lbs.  

0-0, 5.40, 11.2 IP, 5 BB, 13 K.  GO/AO= 2.00.  Height is intriguing, especially for a LHP, but has only pitched 19 innings in 2 DSL seasons.  Will he be stuck there for a third season?
