Willy Adames had a night on his return to Milwaukee but it wasn't enough as the Giants suffered a walk-off loss. Key Lines:
Willy Adames SS- 2 for 4, 2 HR(22), 2 R, 2 RBI. BA= .224. First pitch he saw was a mammoth HR to LF. He went deep again in the 8'th inning to narrow the Giants deficit to 4-3. Unfortunately both HR's were of the solo variety which in the end proved to be not enough.
Luis Matos RF- 2 for 3, 2B, HR(6), BB, SB(3), 2 R, RBI. BA= .190. In two games since his recall from AAA, Matos has 4 hits in 7 AB with 2 doubles, a triple and a HR plus a walk. Whatever the Giants must do to get him daily PA's ROS is good for me. I just don't want to see him become another squandered talent if at all possible.
Carson Whisenhunt LHP- 4 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 2 BB, 1 K, 5/2 GO/AO. ERA= 4.91. More of the same from Whiz. Some nice pitches, pitched out of trouble a couple of times but the wildness eventually caught up with him. 2 WP''s and a HBP didn't help his own cause.
Randy Rodriguez RHP- 1 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 0 BB, 1 K. ERA= 1.78. Rodriguez got the final out of the 8'th inning and came within an out of extending this one to extra-innings but then gave up the walk-off HR to William "I'm not Willson" Contreras C. IDK, right now I am not seeing next season's closer in the organization. I checked the pending free agent list and John Brebbia is available(that's a joke).
Logan Webb RHP triest to even the series tomorrow facing Freddy Peralta RHP who comes in with a 2.78 ERA.
