Down on the Farm: 07-31-2010

AAA Fresno Grizzlies defeated the Colorado Springs Skysox 3-1:

Jackson Williams- 1 for 4, HR(3). BA= .233.
Emmanuel Burriss- 1 for 3, BB, S. BA= .301.
Eric Hacker- 7 IP, 6 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 4 K's. ERA= 4.52.

Hacker has run hot and cold this year. The Grizzlies run production may go down without John Bowker in the lineup.

AA Richmond Flying Squirrels topped the Altoona Curve 4-2:

Nick Noonan- 2 for 4. BA= .250
Thomas Neal- 2 for 4. BA= .290.
Brandon Belt- 2 for 4, 3B. BA= .357.
Conor Gillaspie- 1 for 2, BB, SF. BA= .288.
David Mixon- 7 IP, 7 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 4 K's, GO/AO= 12/5. ERA= 3.56.

I believe Neal and Gillaspie achieved their highest BA's on the season. Not sure about Noonan.

High A San Jose Giants downed the Inland Empire 66'ers 8-6:

Johnny Monell- 2 for 4, HBP, SB(11). BA= .266.
Michael Sandoval- 2 for 5, 2B, HR(3). BA= .333.
Wendell Fairley- 3 for 4, 2B. BA= .305.

Fairley hitting .395 over his last 10 games, still without a lot of power.

Low A Savannah Sand Gnats stung the Augusta Greenjackets 5-0:

Nick Liles- 2 for 4, 2B. BA= .314.

Nothing else to see here.

Short Season Yakima Bears mauled the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes 11-3:

Julio Izturis- 2 for 5. BA= .303.

Rookie AZL Giants were idle.

DSL Giants edged the Mets 4-3:

Jorge Lopez- 2 for 4, 2B. BA= .207.
Jesus Galindo- 2 for 4, SB(34). BA- .226.
Keurin Feliz- 6 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 3 K's. ERA= 1.76.
Marvin Barrios- 1 IP, 3 H, 3 R, 1 ER, 0 BB, 1 K. ERA= 2.25.

Galindo is hitting .300 with a .462 OBP and 10 SB's in his last 10 games.
