Odd mix of young players and rehabbing older players from higher levels makes it a little hard to interpret performance.  Ideal target age for this level is 18-20 yo.

  1. Stuck behind Lee in CF and only 2 years younger, does McCray have a path to MLB?
After a dismal April, he has had a very good May (.291/.363/.456), but as a LHB he is blocked this year behind Lee and YtY.
Would the Giants let YtY walk after this year to give McCray a real shot (in RF)?

    1. Much like David Villar, I think there is a pretty good MLB career in McCray somewhere. The PA's he's racking up in AAA right now will eventually help his chances. Right now he has to wait for an opening and he may ultimately find his career with another organization.

  2. What's with Thomas Gavello?
He performs sort of poorly in A+, gets promoted to Richmond where good performances go to die, and he rakes!
Is this too good to be true?

    1. It's just 25 PA's in AA so far. If my memory is correct, Gavello has a history of starting out hot in new environments then sinking to around the Mendoza Line.

  3. Somebody pitched the idea of renting Carlos Santana at the deadline and I'm not opposed to trading a surplus prospect or two for him at the deadline.

    1. Right now the Guardians are just as much in the running for a postseason slot as the Giants.

  4. Pederson and Bregman go to the IL today.
Pederson isn't having much of a year, yet, but Bregman is raking.
Can you imagine losing Chapman or Ramos?
