Down on the Farm: 8/23/2015

AAA  Omaha Storm Chasers defeated the Sacramento River Cats 4-3:

Parker is this years .300 watch.  Can he finish the season with a .300 BA?  Brett Bochy has quietly had a really good season.

Rookie AZL  Cubs outlasted the Giants 1-0 in 11 innings:

Angel Pagan(CF)- 1 for 2.  BA= .500.
Mikey Edie(CF)- 1 for 3.  BA= .279.
Nick Gonzalez(LHP)- 7.1 IP, 5 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 4 K's.  ERA= 2.49.
Dylan Brooks(RHP)- 2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 4 K's.  ERA= 2.05.

Does not sound like the Giants are anxious to get Pagan back.  He's slated to play some AAA games before he comes of the DL which is not expected before Sept 1.  Not sure what Nick Gonzalez is doing in Rookie ball.  Hopefully working on something.

DSL  Giants have a bye for the first round of the DSL playoffs.

  1. If Jarret hits .300 BA, he'd likely go 300+/400+/500+. To bag 300+ he'll ned to sustain his super hot streak, but whatever the BA ends up being, I'd be happy with an OBP/SLG of over 400/500. I guess we'll see him in SF in September, but doubt he'll get much playing time.

Hope Pagan finds some power in his minor rehab stint.
