Roger Kieschnick(LF-RF)- 1 for 4, 2B, BB. BA= .305.
Mike Kickham(LHP)- 1 for 1, 2B, Sac. BA= .286.
Mike Kickham(LHP)- 7.1 IP, 4 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 8 K's. ERA- 6.00.
Heath Hembree(RHP)- 2 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 0 BB, 3 K's. ERA= 2.51.
Looks like Kickham can handle the bat. His results matched his peripheral stats this time.
AA Trenton Thunder rolled over the Richmond Flying Squirrels 3-1:

Jarrett Parker(DH)- 1 for 4, 2B. BA= .212.

High A Rancho Cucamonga Quakes beat the San Jose Giants 6-3:
Chris Marlowe(RHP)- 5 IP, 6 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 4 K's. ERA= 1.73.
Jeff Soptic(RHP)- 1.2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 1 K. ERA= 7.27.
6 Giants hitters got 1 hit each. Cavan's was a double. Lofton(5), Schroder(4) and Payne(10) had SB's.
Low A Hagerstown Suns crushed the Augusta Greenjackets 9-1:
Kendry Flores(RHP)- 5.2 IP, 3 H, 2 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 5 K's. ERA= 1.23.
Greenjackets only mustered 1 hit. Duffy drew 3 BB's.

Any chance we see Phil McCormick in a Giants uniform someday. Seems like he's an under the radar, side arming lefty who's moved up the ladder rather quickly. With Lopez likely gone after this season, there will be an opening for a situational lefty on the staff that he could be in the running for.
ReplyDeleteMcCormick is a wait and see guy. Next year is probably too early to expect him in SF.
