Nothing to see here.
23-yo Luciano had 5 RBIs and moved into a 3rd place tie for HRs in the PCL with 19.
ReplyDeleteThe 2 ahead of him are 27- and 28-yo, both in you-know-who's organization, one of them is James Outman with 775 MLB PA's including a year with 23 HRs. Outman was recalled last week and played briefly against the Giants yesterday.
With a couple of HRs, Luciano will pass him for #2 and is 4th in RBIs.
McCray and Luciano are 2nd and 3rd in the PCL in Ks at 113 and 112, respectively.
FWIW, Ramos leads the Giants in HRs with 14. He almost hit one in the 3rd inning off Ohtani with YtY on 1B. He did single in the 8th inning rally to load the bases with one out, followed by the "fateful" sac fly by Devers, accounting for the Giants "only" run.
Maui Ahuna is hitting .300 for July, 12 for 40, and 6 W's for .391 OBP.
ReplyDeleteHis 2025 @ SJ is an improvement.
He probably should be moved up to a more age appropriate AA
Maui Ahuna has really picked up his game since your comment earlier. His July BA is .300 and OBP is .391
ReplyDeleteShould he just feel good about this or should he be moved up to AA, a more appropriate age level?
It would seem appropriate for Maui Ahuna to move up sooner than later to catch up to his age/class appropriate level.
DeleteAt the MLB break, on the Giants minor leagues:
ReplyDeleteThe Giants' farm teams have bright starts going forward in the minor leagues second halves:
River Cats @ 11-7 are 2nd in PCL, 1 game out
Flying Squirrels @ 11-7 !!! also are 3rd in Eastern League, 1 game out
Emeralds @ 16-4 !!! lead the NWL by 3½ games
SJ Giants @ 15-6 lead the Cal League by 3 games
(These records can be misleading because, in some cases, the SF farm team played weak opponents.)
The ACL Giants are 35-17 and lead by 2½ games.
The DSL Giants Orange are 20-9 leading the Southwest by 2½ games
The DSL Giants Black are 21-9 leading the South by 2½ games
